In a remarkable feat, Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb has etched his name in NFL history by becoming the first player to achieve an improbable receiving record. The 24-year-old wide receiver accomplished this historic milestone during the Cowboys’ commanding victory over the Giants. In a spectacular display, Lamb hauled in 11 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, marking his third consecutive game with at least 10 receptions and over 150 receiving yards.

This extraordinary run began in Week 8 when Lamb set a Cowboys record by catching 12 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams. The following week, despite the Cowboys losing to the Eagles, Lamb continued his stellar performance with 11 receptions for an impressive 191 yards. This achievement tied him with Cowboys legend Michael Irvin for the most games in franchise history with at least 10 catches and 150 yards.

In the game against the Giants, it was evident that the Cowboys were aware of Lamb’s pursuit of the record, as they made deliberate efforts to get him the ball in the match’s closing stages. Even with several starters, including Dak Prescott, on the bench for most of the fourth quarter, Lamb secured two crucial catches for nine yards, solidifying his place in history.

Lamb’s accomplishment is particularly noteworthy when considering the scarcity of players who have come close to such a feat in the past 25 years. Over this period, only three players, namely Brandon Marshall (2012), Keenan Allen (2017), and Mike Evans (2019), have recorded at least 10 catches and 150 yards in two consecutive games. However, none of them extended the streak to three games, making Lamb’s achievement unprecedented.

As the Cowboys have found their offensive identity, heavily involving Lamb, the wide receiver has been unstoppable over the past few weeks. In the latest victory against the Giants, Lamb added another 151 yards and two touchdowns to his impressive three-game total of 34 receptions, 500 receiving yards, and four total touchdowns. This remarkable turnaround follows Lamb’s vocal frustrations in October over his limited involvement in the offense, showcasing his pivotal role in the team’s newfound offensive identity.
