Lynx Hold Off Sun 86-80 Behind Kayla McBride’s 23 Points

The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Connecticut Sun 86-80 behind a balanced offensive performance and strong late execution.

Kayla McBride led Minnesota with 23 points, four rebounds and four assists, shooting 6-for-10 from the field and 9-for-9 at the free-throw line. Natasha Howard added 12 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, while Courtney Williams had 12 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Dorka Juhasz also scored 12 points on four made threes.

Connecticut was led by Leila Lacan, who finished with 15 points, six rebounds and six assists. Olivia Nelson-Ododa added 14 points and five rebounds, while Diamond Miller scored 13 points.

The Sun kept the game close, but Minnesota’s balanced scoring and key free throws helped the Lynx secure the six-point victory.
