Interview: Taking a WAY TOO EARLY LOOK at the 2021 Draft

This year’s draft was an incredible experience for NFL fans and the players involved. Besides the obvious Trey Wingo, mini-drama after every pick, ESPN did a phenomenal job of giving us a “real” NFL draft feel without having a normal broadcast. One of the other factors that made the draft amazing was the depth of talent at “sexy” positions. Most pundits say that this 2020 wide receiver class will rival the epic wide receiver class of 2014. Analysts are also quite excited about the 2021 class. However, one of the more intriguing stories of the 2020-2021 college football will revolve around the talent at quarterback. After a remarkable year at LSU, Joe Burrow was the clear favorite at quarterback this past season, and most believe that there is already a clear favorite for the 2021 class in Junior quarterback Trevor Lawrence. However, there may be some debate when it comes to next year as quarterbacks like Justin Fields and Trey Lance, of North Dakota State, are starting to make a case for the top spot.

In our interview with Damian Parson, writer for Raising Zona, Scout for TDDR Draftroom, and the Host of the On the Clock NFL Draft Podcast, he shares his insight on the Top Prospects that we should expect to see headline the 2021 NFL Draft. We also address some major questions heading into the 2020-2021 college football season ; (1) Who is the top QB heading into this college football season (Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, or Trey Lance)? (2) Who are some other Top 10 prospects that we should be keeping an eye on this season? (3) Which position will dominate the 2021 draft? (4) Who are the sleepers that could make a huge “Burrow-type” leap up draft boards this season? (5) Which players could we potentially see falling down draft boards this season? This episode is one you don’t want to miss if you are a fan of college football and you love the NFL Draft.
