Jessica Shepard’s Triple-Double Leads Wings Past Fire, 101-97

The Dallas Wings held off the Portland Fire 101-97 behind a triple-double from Jessica Shepard and another balanced offensive performance.

Shepard recorded 18 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, shooting 7-for-11 from the field. Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 24 points and six assists, while Paige Bueckers added 21 points, five assists and four rebounds.

Maddy Siegrist scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds off the bench, while Azzi Fudd contributed 11 points and two steals.

Portland was led by Megan Gustafson with 21 points. Bridget Carleton added 18 points and five rebounds, while Frieda Buhner scored 15 points. Carla Leite recorded 12 points and 11 assists, Karlie Samuelson added 10 points, and Serah Williams finished with eight points, four rebounds and three steals.

The Fire stayed within striking distance throughout the game, but Dallas made the key plays down the stretch. Shepard’s all-around performance, combined with strong scoring from Ogunbowale and Bueckers, helped the Wings secure the four-point victory.
