The Connecticut Sun held off the Phoenix Mercury for a 75-72 victory, overcoming a 25-point performance from Kelsey Plum with a balanced attack and key contributions throughout the rotation.
Kennedy Burke led Connecticut with 15 points, shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 2-for-4 from three-point range. She also added two rebounds, one steal and one block.
Aaliyah Edwards provided a strong performance inside, finishing with 14 points and eight rebounds on an efficient 5-for-7 shooting. She converted four of her five free throws and did not commit a turnover.
Diamond Miller and Leila Lacan each scored nine points. Lacan also handed out four assists, while Miller added four rebounds and a block.
Olivia Nelson-Ododa contributed seven points and four rebounds, Charlisse Leger-Walker recorded six points and five assists, and Hailey Van Lith added six points, two rebounds and two steals off the bench.

DeWanna Bonner grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go with six points, two assists and a block. Natasha Mack added four points and six rebounds off the bench.
Phoenix received 41 combined points from Plum and Copper, but Connecticut found enough production across its lineup to answer. Burke supplied efficient scoring, while Edwards gave the Sun an important presence inside.
