It wasn’t until he hit rock bottom after a friend’s suicide that he encountered God’s presence in his bedroom and surrendered his life to Jesus. Daniel emphasizes how the prayers of others carried him to Jesus, just like the friends who lowered the paralyzed man through the roof in Mark chapter 2.
