Los Angeles came into Monday night without Puka Nacua, then watched Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams make his absence feel almost irrelevant. Nacua was ruled out with a hip/groin injury, leaving Adams as Stafford’s clear No. 1 target, and he responded with eight catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams’ 28-6 win. Stafford carved New York up for 327 yards and four touchdowns, while Kyren Williams and Blake Corum combined for 164 rushing yards. The Rams scored exactly seven points in every quarter and averaged 8.0 yards per play. Even Aaron Donald joined the party, making his 2026 debut after coming out of retirement following two seasons away from football.

For the Giants, the night started going sideways almost immediately. Jaxson Dart injured his left knee on New York’s opening possession after taking a hit from Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart, underwent X-rays and was eventually ruled out, forcing Jameis Winston into action. Malik Nabers then briefly left with a right shoulder injury before returning, but finished with just one catch for one yard. Winston never found a rhythm, completing 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards and an interception as the Giants managed only 182 total yards and never reached the end zone. New York’s defense created a couple of chances, but Stafford and Adams kept turning theirs into touchdowns.
