Angel Reese is once again making WNBA history.
The Chicago Sky forward has been named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 4 (June 23–29), marking her second career Player of the Week honor, according to an official release from the Sky.
Reese put together a dominant three-game stretch, averaging 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks while shooting 48.9% from the field and an impressive 92.3% from the free throw line. Chicago went 2-1 during that span, with Reese’s fingerprints all over each contest.
She opened the week with an all-around performance in a win over Los Angeles, notching 18 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, and a season-high four steals.
Then on June 27 against Golden State, Reese poured in 17 points — with 12 coming in the fourth quarter — and added 18 rebounds, battling to keep the Sky competitive down the stretch.
She closed the week with a historic performance on June 29, posting 24 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks in another win over the Sparks. That stat line has only been recorded three other times in league history — by WNBA legends Tina Thompson, Lisa Leslie, and Candace Parker — and hadn’t been achieved in over 13 years.

Reese also became the first player in WNBA history to grab 15 or more rebounds in four consecutive games, adding yet another groundbreaking milestone to her already remarkable season.
According to Reese, her season didn’t start off the way she wanted, but she’s heating up as the year progresses. During the offseason, she worked with Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie through the Unrivaled training program, focusing on layups and finishing around the basket. That work is now paying off.
She appeared slightly fatigued early in the season, but her conditioning and confidence have steadily improved. While fellow WNBA sophomores like Caitlin Clark, Rickea Jackson, and Cameron Brink are facing sophomore slumps — many due to injury — Angel Reese is on the rise, breaking through what initially looked like a slump of her own.
The league is taking notice. Angel Reese is not just putting up numbers — she’s putting herself in elite company and rewriting the record books while doing it.
