Atlanta Dream Hold Off Indiana Fever 108-101 Behind Balanced Scoring Attack

Angel Reese recorded 21 points and 11 rebounds, and the Atlanta Dream defeated the Indiana Fever 108-101 on Thursday night.

Atlanta improved its position throughout the game with balanced scoring and efficient offense, finishing 37-for-69 from the field while placing five players in double figures. Jordin Canada added 18 points and five assists, while Allisha Gray and Naz Hillmon each scored 17 points. Rhyne Howard contributed 16 points, six assists and five rebounds.

The Dream entered the fourth quarter with an 87-78 lead after building a nine-point advantage through three quarters. Atlanta finished the game with 21 assists, 30 rebounds and 10 steals.

Indiana stayed within striking distance behind a strong offensive effort from its star trio. Caitlin Clark scored 26 points and dished out seven assists, Kelsey Mitchell added 26 points, and Aliyah Boston finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

The Fever shot 56 percent from the field and 47 percent from three-point range, but turnovers proved costly. Indiana committed 17 turnovers compared to Atlanta’s 12.

Atlanta also controlled the glass, outrebounding Indiana 30-25. The Dream converted 27 of 35 free throws and finished with a 77 percent mark at the line.

Clark and Mitchell combined for 52 points for Indiana, but Atlanta’s depth and efficiency helped the Dream maintain enough separation to close out the seven-point victory.
