The Bears are coming into this game with a 1-2 record, and ready to get a win on their home court. Guard, Kyla Jones starting right where she left off by getting the first bucket. The Bears are staying aggressive and in attack mode, Gianna Aiello had a sweet block within the first 3 minutes. The Bears started to roll on offense, Isabella Mauricio knocked down the three at the buzzer bringing the Bears up 19-11. From the sideline you could hear coach Monique Leblanc saying, “let’s get this stop right now”. At the end of 1 Brown University is leading Scared Heart 21-14. At the start of the second quarter, the ladies were dancing and ready to finish handling business. On each defensive possession you heard the Bears bench screaming “defense”. At the half, Bears were leading 31-20, Shooting 35.3% from the field, 17 pts off turnovers, 18 pts in the paint, and had 4 steals. Kyla Jones was leading with 12 points, Isabella with 8 points, and Grace Arnolie with 4pts.

The battle between the two begin in the third, Bears Mya Murry had two blocks back-to-back!!! Sacred Heart played with poise, patience, and aggression and did not -back down and continued to fight back and by the end of the third SHU was within 7.

The Bears started the 4th quarter on a 6-0 run causing SHU to quickly call a timeout. Energy is contagious and the entire team started to feel it, Page Greenburg knocked down a three, and bang Grace Arnolie knocked down another. The Brown Bears pulled away with the win 56-35. Kyla Jones leading with 18 points and 6 rebounds, Grace Arnolie 14pts, 3 rebounds, Isabella Mauricio 8pts, and Page Greenburg with 7pts. 26 Bench pts, 23pts off turnovers, and 30pts on the paint. Great team win!
