Caitlin Clark scored 37 points as the Indiana Fever defeated the Chicago Sky 113-90 Sunday night, using a dominant second half and a major advantage from beyond the arc to create separation.
Chicago carried a 51-50 lead into halftime after a strong first half built around ball security and taking advantage of Indiana mistakes. But the game shifted after the break as the Fever took control and carried the advantage into the fourth quarter.
One of Indiana’s key third-quarter plays came with 8:29 remaining, when Lexie Hull knocked down a 23-foot 3-pointer off an assist from Clark. The basket helped fuel the Fever’s second-half push as Indiana steadily moved the game in its favor.
Clark led the way with 37 points, while Kelsey Mitchell finished with 30 points, two rebounds and four assists. Together, they gave Indiana a high-powered scoring combination that Chicago could not match.
Makayla Timpson added 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists, giving the Fever another productive contributor and helping balance the box score beyond Clark and Mitchell.
Despite the loss, Natasha Cloud led the Sky with 16 points, four rebounds and seven assists. Azura Stevens added 14 points, eight rebounds and two assists, but Chicago could not sustain the momentum it built before halftime.
Ball security became one of the clearest differences between the teams. Indiana committed just seven turnovers compared with 14 for Chicago, limiting empty possessions while creating more opportunities to attack.
The Fever also finished with a plus-14 advantage in made 3-pointers, a decisive gap that helped turn a one-point halftime deficit into a 23-point victory.
Indiana improved to 25-14 with the win, while Chicago fell to 15-23.
