Las Vegas had to wait for the game to open up, but once Kirk Cousins settled in, the Raiders took control. Cousins completed 19 of 29 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns, with Tre Tucker providing the biggest spark on a 40-yard score in the second quarter. Tucker finished with five catches for 119 yards, while Cody White caught two touchdowns, including the 11-yard score that finally put the game away late in the fourth. Ashton Jeanty never really got going on the ground, finishing with 48 yards on 21 carries, but the Raiders didn’t need much from the rushing game once Cousins started attacking downfield.
The Chargers had opportunities, but their offense kept giving Las Vegas extra chances. Justin Herbert threw for 192 yards and a touchdown, but he was intercepted twice by Hezekiah Masses and sacked three times. Omarion Hampton gave Los Angeles a steady 94 rushing yards and a touchdown, yet the Chargers still went scoreless in the fourth quarter after taking a 14-10 lead in the third. Masses was the difference-maker, and Malcolm Koonce added 1.5 sacks as the Raiders finished plus-two in turnover margin. Los Angeles actually outgained Las Vegas 310-305, but the Raiders made the bigger plays, protected the ball better and owned the final quarter.
