Coach explained why Canada earned the honor: “She kept us super composed out there, attacked, put pressure at the rim constantly. Her ability to find her teammates, her ability to keep us calm and confident—she was a great leader.”
After the game, Coach emphasized the importance of composure and execution. “We’ve played them a couple of times, and we felt really good about what we could do defensively against them. Our ability to come together during those moments and stay composed was key.” Charles also reflected on her big night: “I don’t think I’m doing anything different. I just really love this game… It’s been a lot of fun having our group back.”
