Kahleah Copper Scores 30 as Mercury Cruise Past Storm, 90-67

The Phoenix Mercury rolled to a 90-67 win over the Seattle Storm behind a dominant performance from Kahleah Copper and a balanced supporting cast.

Copper led all scorers with 30 points, adding seven rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 12-for-21 from the field. Valeriane Ayayi added 18 points, and Lexi Held knocked down five three-pointers on her way to 17 points.

Alyssa Thomas filled the stat sheet with nine points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, while DeWanna Bonner added six points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Seattle was led by Awa Fam and Natisha Hiedeman, who each scored 13 points. Flau’jae Johnson and Jade Melbourne both added 11 points, but the Storm struggled to keep pace with Phoenix’s offense.

The Mercury controlled the game with efficient scoring, strong rebounding and steady defensive pressure, pulling away for a comfortable 23-point victory.
