Keenum Turns Back the Clock as Bears Embarrass Eagles, 27-7

Case Keenum stepped in for Chicago and turned Monday night into a nightmare for Philadelphia, throwing two touchdowns as the Bears controlled the game from the start and rolled past the Eagles 27-7 on September 28, 2026, at Soldier Field.

Case Keenum came off the shelf and made Philadelphia look completely unprepared. Starting for an injured Caleb Williams in his first NFL game since 2023, the 38-year-old completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover, then added a 1-yard rushing score in Chicago’s 27-7 beatdown. The last time Keenum had at least 247 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions was Week 1 of 2019… against these same Eagles… when he threw for 380 yards and three scores for Washington. Luther Burden III caught seven passes for 61 yards and his first touchdown of the season, pushing him to 15 catches for 156 yards through three games, while Kalif Raymond led Chicago with 90 yards and a 41-yard score. Rome Odunze remained quiet by WR1 standards with three catches for 44 yards, leaving him at eight receptions, 139 yards and no touchdowns through three weeks.

Philadelphia’s offense was just ugly. The Eagles managed 248 yards, went 2-of-9 on third down, 0-of-2 on fourth and turned it over three times. They opened the second half with three straight three-and-outs, gaining only seven yards me on nine plays. Jalen Hurts threw for 153 yards with an interception, while rookie Makai Lemon finished with three catches for 29 yards after opening Philadelphia’s night with a 19-yard grab. Rookie Dillon Thieneman picked off Andy Dalton during Hurts’ brief concussion evaluation for the rookie’s first NFL interception, and T.J. Edwards later intercepted Hurts. Chicago didn’t need Caleb, didn’t need Odunze to dominate and didn’t give Philly anything easy — Keenum and the Bears simply ran them out of Soldier Field.
