The Washington Mystics defeated the Golden State Valkyries 90-82 behind dominant performances from Kiki Iriafen and Shakira Austin.
Iriafen led Washington with 23 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, shooting 8-for-12 from the field. Austin added 15 points and 15 rebounds, while Sonia Citron scored 17 points and handed out six assists.
Michaela Onyenwere contributed 12 points, Georgia Amoore added nine points and eight assists, and Lauren Betts provided four points and four blocks off the bench.
Golden State was led by Kaitlyn Chen, who finished with 20 points and six assists. Kayla Thornton added 15 points, Veronica Burton recorded 12 points and seven assists, and Janelle Salaün chipped in 11 points.
The Mystics shot 52 percent from the field and outrebounded the Valkyries 35-23. Washington also recorded 25 assists, using balanced offense and strong interior play to secure the eight-point victory.
