Colorado’s head coach flipped Travis Hunter and now has flipped Cormani McClain.

“It’s not the location; it’s the destination.” Those words have never rung more accurately than Colorado head coach Deion Sanders flipping Cormani McClain from Miami. McClain, a five-star recruit from Lakeland, Florida, is the 12th-ranked recruit nationally, the number three recruit from Florida, and the top cornerback in the country.
nn
McClain flipping from Miami to Colorado is the second consecutive significant flip for Coach Prime. Last season, Prime flipped number one cornerback Travis Hunter from Florida State. Hunter and McClain give Colorado two good, young corners in a league with Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, Bo Nix, Dante Moore, and DJ Uiagalelei.

What does this mean for Miami?
n
No one needs to weep for Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes. Miami has the seventh-ranked class in the country, featuring two five-star offensive tackles, Samson Okunlola and Frances Mauigoa. Their class features eight top-100 prospects.
nn
That said, the Hurricanes procured just one of the top ten prospects from the state and lost two players to other schools. McClain was supposed to be the crown jewel of the class, along with Jaden Rashada, who flipped to Florida. While it is good that Rashada stays in the state (maybe), the ‘Canes have some work to do fortifying its hold in the state.
