The class also features Terry Holder, a high school baseball coach who dominated the sport with eight state championships, and Leo Mazzone, the Atlanta Braves’ pitching coach who revolutionized the way pitchers prepared for games.
In addition to these sports icons, the Class of 2025 includes Bob Rathbun, the long-serving voice of the Atlanta Hawks, who has been a fixture in Georgia sports broadcasting for nearly three decades. Terance Mathis, an NFL wide receiver known for his record-setting performances with the Atlanta Falcons, and Theron Sapp, a Georgia Bulldogs football legend, are also being inducted. The class is rounded out by NBA sharpshooter Dennis Scott, whose three-point shooting prowess left a lasting legacy, and Jeff Wallace, the UGA women’s tennis coach who led the Bulldogs to six national championships and 20 SEC titles over his 38-year career.
The 69th Annual Induction Ceremony will be held in Macon, Georgia, during the weekend of February 21st and 22nd, 2025.
