This is UFC 300

As we approach UFC 301 let’s look back on the splendor that was UFC 300. With the exception of a few fights (Sterling/Kattar & Andrade/Rodriguez) fans were treated to exciting matchups throughout the card. 

Here are some fun facts and memorable moments from the landmark card.

Undercard

Jim Miller added to his record leading 43 fights in the UFC. He is the only fighter to complete at UFC 100, 200, & 300. 

Jessica Andrade at 17, has more wins than any other woman in UFC history.

Money Moicano had one of the best promos ever. 

Kayla Harrison competed for the first time in the Bantamweight division and was successful against former champion Holly Holm.  “Before end of 2024 I’ll be champion!” Kayla Harrison.

Main Card

Olivera’s split decision loss to Tsarukyan was his first non-title fight loss at Lightweight. His first loss since 2017 (Paul Felder), and his first decision loss in a decade (Frankie Edgar, July 2013).

The match between Gaethje & Holloway was the first time BMF title was defended. 

Though credited as a slip, it was the first time Max Holloway fell after being punched in the octagon.

Holloway tied Demetrious Johnson and Yair Rodriguez for the latest finish in UFC history. 

Max is the first to hold Interim, Undisputed & BMF titles.

The bout between Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan was the first China v China title fight in UFC history.

30 Billion views on Social in China. Trended #1 for 2 days in China, another first. 

Largest published Performance Bonus in the history of the UFC. 

Poatan gave us the best meme of the night and a new way to say, “Game Over”
