Two Prescott Picks and a First-Half Shutout Turn Dallas’ Lambeau Return Into a Nightmare

The Green Bay Packers (4-2) defeated the Dallas Cowboys (2-4) 23-13 at Lambeau Field on October 18, 2026, as Matthew Golden’s 104 receiving yards and two first-half interceptions of Dak Prescott helped Green Bay build a commanding 17-0 halftime lead.

Dallas arrived at Lambeau Field following a players-only defensive meeting and the hiring of veteran assistant Mike Pettine, but Green Bay quickly exposed how much work remained. Jordan Love opened with a 90-yard touchdown drive, finding Matthew Golden for a nine-yard score. Although Dee Winters intercepted Love, the Packers’ defense responded with two crucial takeaways of its own. Evan Williams intercepted Dak Prescott near the goal line before rookie Brandon Cisse grabbed another following a CeeDee Lamb slip. Love’s one-yard touchdown sneak gave Green Bay a commanding 17-0 halftime lead. The Packers converted nine of their first 10 third downs, while Love finished with 276 passing yards and two total touchdowns. Golden caught six passes for 104 yards, Christian Watson added 64, and Trey Smack made three field goals as Green Bay secured its third consecutive victory.

Dallas’ offense picked a terrible night to disappear. Prescott completed 34 of 54 passes for 258 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, ending the Cowboys’ 86-game streak of scoring in the first half. Lamb caught nine passes for 70 yards on 18 targets, George Pickens contributed 73 yards, and Javonte Williams managed 41 rushing yards and a touchdown. Even the homecomings of former Packers Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary couldn’t inspire a comeback. Clark and Quinnen Williams recorded sacks as Dallas held Green Bay to six second-half points, but the Cowboys surrendered 11 third-down conversions and committed 11 penalties for 108 yards. Ryan Flournoy’s late touchdown only made the scoreboard more respectable. Despite Green Bay managing just 57 rushing yards, Dallas never seriously threatened, dropping to 2-4 with another frustrating performance.
