Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Soar Over Duke Blue Devils, 24-14!

As the third quarter rolled on, Duke struck back. Sahmir Hagans caught a 65-yard pass from Murphy, giving the Blue Devils a surprising 14-10 lead! The crowd held its breath as Duke seemed to seize control.

But then came the fourth quarter, and the Jackets were ready to roar back! Haynes King tossed a 3-yard pass to Jamal Haynes, regaining the lead for Tech, 17-14. The crowd exploded with excitement!

Moving on, Jamal Haynes had a standout performance, rushing for 128 yards on 19 carries. “We came out and did what we had to do,” Haynes said. He celebrated his birthday with a fantastic game and a cake presentation on the field!

Overall, Georgia Tech dominated on the ground, outrushing Duke 245-74. The Jackets amassed 412 total yards compared to Duke’s 279. Coach Brent Key praised the offensive line, saying, “They made it happen!”

King was a dual threat, completing 23 of 31 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 30 yards on 12 carries. Meanwhile, Duke’s Murphy threw for over 200 yards for the sixth straight game.
