The Connecticut Sun is calling fans to support the drive by visiting and purchasing items on the organization’s Amazon Wishlist, or by donating new and gently worn shoes and toiletry products throughout the last four home games of the regular season (August 31 vs. the Phoenix Mercury, September 9 vs. the Los Angeles Sparks, September 8 vs. the Indiana Fever, and September 10 vs. the Chicago Sky). Donation bins will be located on the Mohegan Sun Arena concourse near the Earth and Sky entrances. All donations will benefit the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, and every person who donates to BG’s Heart and Sole Shoe Drive will be entered in a drawing with a chance to win a Brittney Griner autographed sneaker.

“We are excited to honor BG’s return to Mohegan Sun Arena and recognize the work she has done in her community. Participating in her shoe drive and supporting the New London Homeless Hospitality Center is a perfect way to reflect BG’s work in Arizona onto our own community and support the center’s efforts to provide shelter and comfort to those who need it most.” – Morgan Tuck, Connecticut Sun Director of Franchise Development and Assistant General Manager
