The Golden State Valkyries defeated the Washington Mystics 62-49 behind a strong defensive performance.
Kaitlyn Chen led Golden State with 14 points and four assists, while Tiffany Hayes added nine points. Kaila Charles and Janelle Salaun each scored eight points, and Kiah Stokes contributed six points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
Washington was led by Kiki Iriafen, who finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Shakira Austin added 11 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, while Cotie McMahon scored eight points.
Golden State held Washington under 50 points and used balanced scoring to pull away for the road win.
