The Connecticut Sun edged the Minnesota Lynx 90-89 in a one-point thriller behind a dominant performance from Brittney Griner.
Griner led Connecticut with 29 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks, shooting 11-for-14 from the field. Kennedy Burke added 16 points, while Leila Lacan scored 13 points with four steals. Olivia Nelson-Ododa contributed 10 points and eight rebounds.
Minnesota was led by Kayla McBride, who scored 28 points and hit four three-pointers. Courtney Williams added 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Natasha Howard finished with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists.
The Lynx pushed Connecticut to the final possession, but the Sun held on behind Griner’s efficient scoring and interior presence.
