The Washington Mystics defeated the Toronto Tempo 79-62 behind dominant performances from Kiki Iriafen and Shakira Austin.
Iriafen led Washington with 25 points and 14 rebounds, shooting 9-for-14 from the field and converting seven of her eight free throws. Austin added 17 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and one steal, giving the Mystics another strong presence inside.
Michaela Onyenwere contributed 15 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Georgia Amoore added seven points and two assists. Lauren Betts gave Washington six points, six rebounds, two steals and one block off the bench.
Toronto was led by Julie Allemand, who scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds. Nyara Sabally added 13 points, four rebounds and two blocks, while Marina Mabrey and Isabelle Harrison each scored eight points. Laura Juskaite contributed seven points and four rebounds.
Washington controlled the interior behind Iriafen and Austin, who combined for 42 points and 24 rebounds. Their production helped the Mystics build separation and close out the 17-point victory.
