Rae Burrell led Los Angeles with 17 points, shooting 5-for-11 from the field and making three three-pointers. She also converted all four of her free-throw attempts.
Nneka Ogwumike and Dearica Hamby each scored 16 points. Ogwumike added seven rebounds, two steals and a block, while Hamby finished with nine rebounds and two assists on an efficient 7-for-9 shooting performance.
Cameron Brink provided a strong two-way effort with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Erica Wheeler added 12 points and nine assists, giving Los Angeles another major source of playmaking.
Minnesota was led by Olivia Miles, who recorded 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Miles shot 8-for-16 from the field and connected on three shots from beyond the arc.
Napheesa Collier added 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Kayla McBride scored 15 points. Courtney Williams contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, and Natasha Howard added eight points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.
Minnesota received strong production from Miles and Collier, but Los Angeles answered with contributions throughout its lineup.
With five Sparks reaching double figures and Wheeler directing the offense with nine assists, Los Angeles had enough scoring depth to secure the seven-point victory.
