Los Angeles Rams Hold Los Angeles Chargers to 9 Points in 24-9 Victory

The Los Angeles Rams (4-4) defeated the winless Los Angeles Chargers (0-7) 24-9 at SoFi Stadium on November 1, 2026, as Kyren Williams and Blake Corum powered the rushing attack while the Rams’ defense intercepted Justin Herbert twice and kept the Chargers out of the end zone.

Matthew Stafford wasn’t particularly impressive Sunday, but the Rams didn’t need him to be. Los Angeles failed to record a first down on its first five possessions, and Stafford threw an early interception before finally finding some rhythm. Trailing 9-3 late in the second quarter, a 40-yard completion to Tutu Atwell sparked a drive that ended with Kyren Williams’ one-yard touchdown and a 10-9 halftime lead. Blake Corum then broke loose for a 23-yard touchdown in the third quarter before Puka Nacua turned a screen pass into an 18-yard score. Corum finished with 73 rushing yards, Williams added 56, and the duo combined for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Nacua caught 11 passes for 80 yards, while Stafford finished with just 157 passing yards, one touchdown and an interception. Brandon McManus, already the Rams’ third kicker this season, made his field goal and all three extra points. The defense delivered the biggest plays, with Quentin Lake and Trent McDuffie intercepting Justin Herbert as the Rams improved to 4-4.

The Chargers somehow made their winless season look even worse against the team they share a stadium with. Justin Herbert completed 24 of 32 passes for 257 yards, but threw two meatball subs straight to Rams defenders. The first was returned 45 yards by Lake, while McDuffie’s third-quarter interception set up Nacua’s touchdown one play later. Herbert now leads the NFL with 10 interceptions. Ladd McConkey caught four passes for 86 yards, Oronde Gadsden added 52, and Quentin Johnston contributed 37, but the offense couldn’t score a touchdown. Omarion Hampton and Kimani Vidal combined for only 43 rushing yards as the Chargers managed 64 on the ground. Cameron Dicker accounted for all nine points with three field goals. The Chargers’ defense did its part early, with Tarheeb Still intercepting Stafford and Tuli Tuipulotu recording a sack, but the offense wasted every opportunity. After a bye week spent reviewing their offensive struggles, Jim Harbaugh and coordinator Mike McDaniel returned with another miserable performance. At 0-7, the Chargers are running out of excuses, and Harbaugh’s job security deserves serious scrutiny.
