Azurá Stevens, Sydney Taylor Lead Sky Past Storm, 95-90

The Chicago Sky defeated the Seattle Storm 95-90 behind a balanced scoring effort and strong performances from Azurá Stevens and Sydney Taylor.

Stevens led Chicago with 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists, shooting 8-for-16 from the field and making three three-pointers. Taylor added 17 points and five rebounds, while Chloe Bibby provided 14 points and four assists off the bench.

Natasha Cloud finished with 13 points, six assists, four steals and one block, and Gabriela Jaquez added 10 points. Courtney Vandersloot contributed eight points, six assists and three steals, while Elizabeth Williams added seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals.

Seattle was led by Flau’jae Johnson, who scored 25 points with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block. Dominique Malonga recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, while Awa Fam added 14 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.

Jade Melbourne and Katie Lou Samuelson each scored 11 points, but Chicago’s depth and defensive activity proved to be the difference. The Sky received contributions throughout the lineup and held off Seattle for the five-point home victory.
