Dak Prescott Throws Four TDs as Cowboys Beat Commanders 37-20

Dallas got exactly the kind of afternoon it wanted from Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, jumping in front early and never giving Washington a clean path back. Prescott was nearly flawless, completing 26 of 31 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover, while Lamb shredded the Commanders for eight catches, 153 yards and two scores. Jake Ferguson caught the other two touchdown passes, and Brandon Aubrey added field goals from 25, 44 and 60 yards. Washington kept hanging around, but every time it threatened to tighten the game, Dallas answered.

The Commanders’ day got harder when Jayden Daniels was forced out and Marcus Mariota had to take over. Daniels had already hurt Dallas with his legs, rushing for 69 yards on seven carries, and found Stefon Diggs for a touchdown before leaving. Mariota responded with 111 passing yards and another score to Diggs, who finished with two touchdowns, but Washington never fully recovered its rhythm. Terry McLaurin was held to two catches despite nine targets, and a lost fumble gave Dallas the game’s only turnover edge. Washington actually outgained the Cowboys 389-332 and rushed for 182 yards, but Prescott’s efficiency and Lamb’s big-play day made the difference whenever the game started to tighten.
