The Kansas City Chiefs held Miami to 10 points and beat the Miami Dolphins 24-10 on September 27, 2026 at Hard Rock Stadium, improving to 3-0, using defense as the clearest part of the result.

Kansas City never needed to turn this into a track meet. Patrick Mahomes stayed in control, Kenneth Walker III handled the early damage and the Chiefs’ defense made sure Miami never found enough offense to seriously threaten in a 24-10 win. Mahomes completed 20 of 24 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns, while Walker finished with 70 rushing yards and opened the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown before later catching another from Mahomes. Rashee Rice led the way with seven catches for 88 yards, and Travis Kelce provided the finishing blow with an 11-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Miami hung around for most of the afternoon, but every drive felt like work. Malik Willis threw for 210 yards with no touchdowns and an interception, while Ollie Gordon II managed just 41 rushing yards despite scoring the Dolphins’ only touchdown. Kansas City forced two turnovers, stopped Miami on all three fourth-down tries and kept the Dolphins out of the end zone after the opening quarter. George Karlaftis came away with an interception, L’Jarius Sneed recovered a fumble and the Chiefs made Miami’s 34-plus minutes of possession feel mostly empty. The Dolphins had the ball plenty; Kansas City simply made sure they did very little with it.
