The Washington Mystics rolled to a 95-75 victory over the Phoenix Mercury behind strong performances from Shakira Austin and Sonia Citron.
Austin recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 8-for-16 from the field. She also added three assists and a block without committing a turnover.
Citron delivered an efficient all-around performance with 19 points, six assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block. She shot 7-for-9 from the field and connected on five of her six three-point attempts.
Michaela Onyenwere and Cotie McMahon each scored 13 points, while Kiki Iriafen added 12 points and nine rebounds. Georgia Amoore finished scoreless but handed out six assists without committing a turnover.
Phoenix was led by Kahleah Copper with 15 points, while Noemie Brochant provided 13 points off the bench on 5-for-7 shooting.
Alyssa Thomas recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, and DeWanna Bonner also scored 10. Natasha Mack contributed eight points and seven rebounds, while Kyara Linskens added eight rebounds and three blocks.
Washington’s balance ultimately separated the teams. Four Mystics scored at least 13 points, with Austin controlling the interior and Citron providing efficient perimeter scoring and playmaking.
The Mystics used that combination to secure a convincing 20-point victory.
