Sydney Taylor Leads Balanced Sky Past Sparks, 96-82

The Chicago Sky defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 96-82 behind balanced scoring and strong performances from Sydney Taylor, Natasha Cloud and Kamilla Cardoso.

Taylor led Chicago with 19 points, shooting 6-for-10 from the field and making four three-pointers. Cloud added 15 points, nine assists and six rebounds without committing a turnover, while Jacy Sheldon contributed 14 points.

Cardoso recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, adding three assists and two blocks. Azurá Stevens finished with 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, and Courtney Vandersloot scored nine points.

Los Angeles was led by Nneka Ogwumike and Dearica Hamby, who each scored 18 points. Ogwumike added 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block, while Hamby contributed six rebounds and two steals. Erica Wheeler finished with 14 points and four assists.

The Sparks received strong production from their frontcourt, but Chicago’s depth and playmaking helped the Sky pull away for the 14-point victory.
